When Kate Dawson lost her cousin Jill to breast cancer, Kate knew that she must do something to honor Jill’s life, and the love Jill had for her children. Kate teamed up with Jodi Glucksman to make Over The Moon, an album of lullaby sons written and performed by members of the Broadway theater community.
As a companion to the album, Easton Studio Press has also released an Over The Moon picture book that includes a 17 song lullaby CD. I had the opportunity to review the book and album, and the only word for both is: beautiful. Beautiful music. Beautiful lyrics. Beautiful illustrations. All to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Young Survival Coalition.
As I write this post, my children are sleeping to the sounds of these lullabies. They loved reading the book as well. The very best from Broadway have collaborated on this album and book, and the high quality comes through in both the book and album. Over The Moon would be a great gift for an expectant mom, or anyone who loves Broadway performers.
I am excited to share that I am giving away one copy of the Over The Moon book and CD to a lucky It’s Fundamental reader. Follow the directions below to enter!
